Christmas Cakes

As we farewelled another Year 12 cohort last Friday and a whole new group of fabulous students stepped up to shoulder their new responsibilities, the end of the school year and indeed Christmas suddenly seemed a lot closer.

The response to our new Christmas Cake packaging at Speech Day was overwhelmingly positive with everyone loving the new boxes and illustrated sleeve. The development of the boxes, the folding of the boxes from flat packs, the cutting and sealing of the cryovac pieces for the cakes and the actual sealing and boxing was an enormous job.  Egg Dopheide was instrumental in developing and making this whole process work so well and the countless hours she put in has resulted in a much more eco friendly and superior product. Thank you also to the team of people who helped her in the P and F shed. A huge job well done!  Another thank you also to Chantal Butcher for coordinating the artwork for the labels chosen from paintings done by budding Junior School artists -the designs looks wonderful and set our Christmas cakes apart

Lots of orders were taken on the day and the cakes have now been distributed to both Junior School and Senior School, the Hamilton Hamper Company and the Rox. Totally out of keeping with inflation the cakes have resisted a price rise and will remain at $25 for a small and $47 for the enormous 2kg cake.

Get in quick as they sell out very fast each year.
