From the Assistant Principal

Doo Dah

On the last day of term, Friday 5 April , Arlington will be celebrating with a Preshilian Doo Dah.

By way of background and according to a reliable source, some parents decided to start cooking an al fresco meal for the children of Arlington at the end of each term. When Mug (Margaret E Lyttle) asked what was going on, one of the parents replied, 'Oh it’s just a Doo Dah!'

The spirit of Doo Dah today remains the same. It is a delicious community meal of fresh food prepared, cooked and served to the children of Arlington on The Bricks by their mums, dads and carers.  It is friendly, fun and relaxed: a great way to join in with the school community and get to know other parents/carers, the children and teachers.

If you are able to volunteer on the day please notify your class rep; it's a lovely opportunity to get to know other families and join us in the celebration of an exciting and busy term!

Save the Date - Quizzys

Please save the date for our Quiz and Music night - Quizzys on Thursday 16 May (more information will follow in the coming weeks).   We hope to see you there.

Arriving Late?  Leaving Early?

Parent Reps

We had our first parent reps meeting for the year for all levels from Kindergarten to Year 12.  It was a meeting filled with lots of good ideas and opportunities to bring close the wonderful parent community at Preshil.  The parent reps are collating all of the contact information from families and will be distributing a class phone list shortly.  Please contact them if you wish to opt out of this telephone list.
