2014 Reunion Catch Up!

The Class of 2014 had their five-year reunion this past month, on September 14. Starting Year 10 in 2012, this class was only the third batch of students to enter John Monash. Their entry marked the first time that the school had a full cohort of students from Year 10 to Year 12.

It was great to see a large number of alumni and past teachers attend the event, held at the Oxford Scholar in the city. The food was a hit, and the bar tab was made good use of, running out in just over an hour! It was a pleasure hearing about the amazing strides our peers have been taking in their respective fields of interest, as well as learning about the next generation of students that our teachers have been inspiring. In addition, the night was filled with reminiscent stories and memories about three of the most memorable years of our childhood, which we all shared together.

The Class of 2014 would like to extend a huge thanks to the organising committee – Abi Hyndman, Aryaman Pandav, Jason Taylor, Maria Tongson, Michael Franklin, Perkin Chan, Sasheeka Amunugama, and Yani Lach. We would like to thank Peter Corkill for being the driver of this reunion, and sharing his experience with other similar events so we could make this one a success. Finally, we’d like to thank all the alumni students and teachers, who took time out of their busy schedules to join us in celebrating.
