SEQTA reminders

If you have previously used SEQTA please ignore the details below. However, if you are having troubles with logging in please contact our IT Support team at help@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au

New families please read through details below:

Our Teacher/Family system is called SEQTA and contains three core parts; SEQTA Teach, SEQTA Learn and SEQTA Engage.

  • SEQTA Teach, includes curriculum planning, mapping, assessment and reporting, pastoral care and analytics and is used by the staff.
  • SEQTA Learn, is the student online environment. This environment is accessible on any device over the internet and at school. Thereby giving students access to everything they need to learn more effectively, and tools that allow them to stretch themselves, be more interactive with what they are learning and achieve better outcomes.
  • SEQTA Engage, is the online environment for parents/guardians so you can access up-to-date information quickly and easily about the school and your child/rens learning.

We have implemented SEQTA Teach, Learn and Engage in stages over the last two years. SEQTA Teach has pastoral, attendance and assessment and reporting functions for staff and now supports continuous online reporting to parents.

All new families would have received an email this afternoon from noreply@seqta.com.au with the subject title "Welcome to SEQTA Engage". Please ensure to check your junk email folder if it does not appear in your inbox. This email contains the link that will enable you to set up your SEQTA Engage account. Please click on this link as soon as you get the email and follow the instructions provided. If you have difficulties or do not receive the email contact our IT Support team on help@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au

We look forward to providing families with the features and functionality of SEQTA Teach, Learn and Engage.

Echuca Town Bus Travel for 2020

An email was sent to families today who reside in Echuca Township, according to our database. If you did not receive the email, and believe your child should be eligible for a Victorian Student Pass, please contact the school to confirm your residential address.

Any students may travel on the Echuca Moama Transit services as they are public transport.  Students who do not hold a Victorian Student Pass are required to pay the usual fares:

$1.20 per trip;

$2.40 per day ticket (collected from driver in morning and shown again in the afternoon);

$11.20 per weekly ticket (collected from driver and shown each trip for that week).

Timetable and stop information may be obtained from Echuca Moama Transit – 5484 1129.

Echuca township students who reside more than 4.8 kilometres from home to our school are eligible to apply for a Victorian Student Pass (VSP).

An arrangement has been made with the Department of Education for students who received VPS’s in 2019 and who live less than the minimum home to school distance of 4.8km.  These students may continue to receive the allowance until they exit Moama Anglican Grammar. However, all new 2020 applications must comply with the conveyance allowance policy regardless of whether they have a sibling receiving the allowance.

The full conveyance allowance policy document may be viewed at: https://www.education.vic.gov.au/school/teachers/transport/Pages/conveyance.aspx

The VSP consists of a Myki card which is linked to a PTV endorsed school Student ID card.  Both cards should be readily shown to drivers each time the student travels on Echuca Moama Transit services. This Myki may also be used to access free public transport anywhere in Victoria.

Please find attached the mandatory Department of Education and Training (Vic) Conveyance Allowance Application-Private Bus form to be completed and signed by the parent / guardian and submitted to the school.

Please note: on page 4 there is a section for the parent to sign over the conveyance payment to the school in order for the school to purchase the VSP from Public Transport Victoria on behalf of the students.

Also, hardcopies of this form are available for collection from both our Primary and Main Admin offices.

Families of students who apply for a VSP will be invoiced a $10 processing fee by the School.

Students who have their 2019 VSP should continue to show it to the drivers until new cards are issued.  New applicants will be issued an endorsed letter to show their bus driver until cards are issued by PTV.

It is important to return fully completed applications to the school by Monday 10 February to allow time for passes to be processed by and collected from the Bendigo Hub of Public Transport Victoria before 2019 cards / letters expire on 28 February 2020.

If you have any questions in relation to this, please contact Marnie or Lou at the School – 5480 5900.

ESafetyCommisioner new website – a great resource for all Parents and Guardians.

The new website will give you access to the world’s most comprehensive suite of information, resources and reporting tools to help you and your child/ren have safer experiences online, through the new online safety hub at esafety.gov.au.

We encourage families to take the time to look at their new website and explore the Parents’ section.

Large bulky items on the Bus

Please note that the bus operators are not permitted to transport large items in the external storage compartment of the bus, e.g. bikes or scooters.  Should your child need to transport such items please make alternate arrangements.  Also remember to park well clear of where the bus is expected to stop.

Thank you for your support with this.

Late students

It has come to our attention that some secondary students are arriving late to school without the appropriate form of communication.

A reminder to parents that late students (or those that are departing early) should either:

Provide an 'out of routine' form when arriving at school / leaving early

Or

Parents/Guardians are to fill in a late arrival/early departure eform via the Parent Portal  PCSpider.

In the instance that this cannot happen, a phone call or email to the school is also appropriate.

It is our Duty of Care to know where students are at all times.
