Please let the school know in writing if your child will not be returning to West Beach PS in 2017 so that we maintain a clear picture of how many students will be in each Year level in 2017.

Christmas Concert

Thank you to all of the tremendous efforts from staff and students for the preparation of a fantastic end of year concert. There was a sensational turnout with a very large crowd in attendance. Thankfully the weather was kind and the students put on a fantastic performance.

Thank you also to the many volunteers who assisted with preparing for the evening's festivities.

We are delighted to announce that Kosta Atsalis was awarded the West Beach Primary School Kelly Sports Star of the Term by our Kelly Sports coach for Term 4.

The reasons for Kosta's nomination were:

- always arrives at Kelly Sports every week with a positive attitude

- always has the biggest smile no matter the day or the weather

- always willing to get involved and give new things a try

- always encouraging his team mates to do their best

- a pleasure to coach

Anglicare SA is in urgent need of foster carers to provide homes for children in your local community.

Foster Carers can be single, couples, people at home, working full-time, part-time or studying. Free training and ongoing professional support (including 24-hour assistance) is provided.

VACSWIM

"SA Water VACSWIM, SA’s most iconic aquatic safety program has opened for registrations with organisers encouraging all families to sign up soon as registrations close on December 19th.

13,000 primary school aged children will take part at over 130 pool and beach locations from the 3rd - 11th January 2017, in line with the Christmas and New Year holidays.

VACSWIM is a Government of South Australia initiative providing children with opportunities to develop skills and positive experiences in the areas of water safety, confidence and competence in the water, personal survival activities and basic aquatic emergency procedures. 

VACSWIM is described as the best value for money holiday program with individual enrolment starting at $30 per participant.
