I am also very pleased to announce that Jenna Baulderstone, Tara-Marie Saracino and Rebekah Bleby have all been appointed to teaching positions at West Beach Primary School in 2017. I would like to thank all West Beach staff for their dedication and commitment to our students this year.
On Wednesday evening we celebrated with our Year 7 Graduates their wonderful years at Primary School. We are very proud of the fine young people these students have become and wish them well for their Secondary schooling years.
We also congratulate the following Year 7 award winners.

Our End of Year concert was also a wonderful celebration for our school community. We were very fortunate to have fine weather on the night. Students thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to perform and showcase their confidence and unique talents. Once again, the fundraising committee need to be thanked and congratulated for their efforts on the night, raising another $3000 towards our new audio visual system purchased this year. Thankyou for your attendance on the night, contributing to the fundraising and for supporting your children to partcicpate in this fun and memorable experience.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sam Cook for taking on the role as canteen manager over the last 2 years. Sam will finish in this volunteer role at the end of the term. Please let the school know if you are interested in taking on the canteen manager role in 2017.Thankyou also to Cathy Turner who has coordinated the Fundraising committee this year. A huge thankyou to all parents and community members that have volunteered their time to support the school this year. Your support has been valued and very much appreciated by students and staff as many activities and events would not occur without this commitment.
Our new uniform policy will be fully implemented in 2017. The Uniform requirements are attached to this newsletter. We strongly encourage all students to wear the West Beach School uniform as it does promote pride and sense of belonging to our school community. If uniform expectations are not able to be met please contact Katrina Sexton to discuss how support can be provided.
On behalf of all the West Beach PS staff I would like to wish students and their families a Merry Christmas and a safe and enjoyable holiday break.
