Three boys team represented Lilydale High School in the sport of Volleyball.

Lilydale 1

Liam Canaider, Mitch Felstead, Matt Gibbons, Shane Kollosche, Joel Linderman-Collins, Rory Say, Bayley Sciortino, Riley Shanley.

A team that dresses the part defiantly plays the part. These boys worked extremely well as a team and were able to finish at the top of their pool. This took them into the semi-final, which they played a competitive three sets but unfortunately did not come away with the win. They finished third overall.

MVP: Matt Gibbons

Lilydale 2

Corey Cribbes, James Fenby, Matt Horner, James Lea, Luke Petrie, Rohan Yuncken

This team got into the spirit of sportsmanship. Luke Petrie joined the team to ensure there were the required amount of players to take to the court. These boys also played for another school who were down on players.  At times, you could have thought the boys were playing Soccer as some much-needed points were won using their feet. They finished fourth in their pool.

MVP: Luke Petrie

Lilydale 3

Jet Beck had the skill set to coach and captain the Year 11 team.   Mac Beckwith performed well on the day with lots of attacking shots. Thomas McDonald worked defensively on the net. James Peacock set up lots of shots with his digging skills.   Steven Radmanic set up some key plays and contributed to some winning points with his serve.  Jai Spalding had a great overhead serve winning his team some points. Ryan Wendleman and Charles Petchell assisted their teammates when on court.

Year 7 Girls Yarra District Cricket

On Wednesday 1 March,  the Year 7 Girls Cricket team headed off to Silcock Reserve to compete in their first interschool competition at Lilydale High.

In the first game against Healesville, the girls were a bit nervous, but after winning the toss and electing to bat, Holly and Olivia E got all the nerves out by hitting a massive score to get the girls off to a flyer. Healesville only managed to get 2 wickets and we made 187 runs. We managed to pick up 7 wickets and keeping them to 57 runs.

All the girls now had their minds set to win another game against Upper Yarra. Again, all girls batting superbly making 144 runs with only 3 wickets lost. Our bowling this game was excellent with getting a team hat-trick. We ended up winning that game by 99 runs.

Now we were in to the Grand Final against Healesville again. Lots of boundaries were hit and got 10 wickets in this match. Winning again by almost 100 runs and taking home the flag!

Overall it was a very enjoyable day. Great job girls!
