Annual JMSS Science Fair Goes National

The Annual John Monash Science School Science Fair is set to take a giant leap in 2019, as, for the first time, it becomes known as the Australian Science Fair!

Expanding to accomodate an exciting three-day program and featuring exhibitions from partner schools across Australia, this year's Science Fair will provide an opportunity for JMSS students to exhibit their work in front of a national audience.

Centred around the student exhibition at the school on the evening of Monday 29 October, 2018, the school is expecting to host more than 800 visitors throughout the course of the fair, showcasing the outstanding work and research undertaken by our students this year.

More information will be provided in the lead-up to the event, with registrations to attend the exhibition open now via Eventbrite:

JMSS & Plastic Oceans Australasia to celebrate First Anniversary of Documentary

Toward the end of 2017, John Monash Science School was proud to work alongside Plastic Oceans Australasia to facilitate a very special screening of their award-winning documentary A Plastic Ocean here at the school.

One year on from the landmark release of the documentary, JMSS and Plastic Oceans Australasia are still working together in support of environmental conservation, and will be partnering for a very special anniversary screening of the documentary, along with a Q&A with marine eco-toxicology expert Dr. Jennifer Lavers, as part of the Australian Science Fair.

The special event, which will take place on Tuesday, 30 October 2018 at the South One Lecture Theatre over at Monash University will raise money for the ongoing work of Plastic Oceans Australasia, as well as supporting school-based initiatives from JMSS Students.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite:
