French Exchange Student Salomé

Over the past four weeks BHCS has welcomed 17 year old Salomé de-Bonis into our School Community. She is from Chambéry (a skiing region in the Alpes) in France and has stayed with the Watson family, who have enthusiastically shown her the sites around Melbourne.  Salomé has attended Year 11 classes with Tiana.

Salomé has been a great asset to the French department, helping students with their spoken French as well as updating teachers and students on colloquial French. The highlight for Salomé has been seeing our “Beauty and the Beast” production last week. She will spend this Thursday and Friday in Sydney with other French exchange students before heading back to France for the new school year

(starting in September)!

It has been a delight to have Salomé with us and we wish her God’s richest blessings for her future.

Secondary Students -          We need you!

The Language Perfect Victorian State Championships begin at midday tomorrow, 28th August and run for ONE WEEK ONLY. We placed FIRST in our division in Victoria in the International Competition, and it remains to be seen if we can hold onto this in the State Championships. We need everyone to get on board to do what they can to make this happen. Class prizes will be announced by your French teacher closer to the date.

Bon courage!

Thank You

BHCS would like to thank the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (VACC) for their kind donation of a tool box for the automotive program at BHCS. The VACC works closely with schools and employers to provide students with the latest tools and equipment. As well as this VACC run an Auto Apprenticeships program, which provides a smooth pathway for individuals opting to enter the workforce within the automotive sector, commencing as early as Year 10. The VACC recruit the best candidates and then place them with suitable host employers for their on-the-job training. Currently BHCS has two former students who are VACC apprentices.

the beginning of Term 4, all students will be

required to wear full summer uniform.

Please ensure you use this time to ensure your child has all the required uniform items and that they fit correctly. Your child should also have a School hat ready for Term 4.

Students Withdrawing 2016

We remind families that the school should be

informed in writing of your intention to withdraw

your child at the end of 2015 from any year

level.

One term’s notice of withdrawal is required in

writing, to avoid being charged a term’s fees. If

you have not yet informed the school and you

are intending to withdraw your child, we

strongly encourage you to do so, as soon as possible.
