Persistence

In term 4 we are focussing on the foundation of Persistence. Persistence means trying hard and not giving up when something feels like it’s too hard to do. I believe the pandemic has taught us a great deal about this key. We have been engaged in Remote Learning and sometimes it can be hard to keep persevering. We need strategies to keep us focused and stay in the Learning Zone like eating some Brain Food or having a Brain Break. It is important for us to push through and persist. Let’s see what amazing rewards can come when you persist!

Some examples of persistent behaviour:

  • Continuing to try even when you find Remote Learning can be challenging
  • Avoiding distractions at home so you can stay focused
  • Checking and editing work to make sure it’s correct even when you think it’s finished
  • Completing assignments on time
  • When you are learning a new skill to practise, practise, practise! Practise makes Permanent!
