Junior School

Welcome to Term 4!

Welcome back to our final term. The boys have returned and are enthusiastically looking forward to their last term, which promises to be a busy one. Please keep the Term 4 Calendar, which was emailed on Wednesday in a prominent place and take note of the many special events that are happening this term.

Mr Martin Tucker

Head of Junior School

Evening of Eminence

On Thursday evening, seven Year 6 boys were involved in the Evening of Eminence. The boys have researched an eminent person and presented this information creatively whilst in character. The evening is an accumulation of their learning during the last term, and this term. Thank you to Mrs Ricki Boe, who has guided the boys through their preparation.

Tony Curtis Boat Race

One of our co-curricular clubs, the Engineering group has been spending many sessions since the beginning of last term designing and making boats out of recycled materials. The boats are now ready to be tested in the Tony Curtis Boat race, named after past a Principal of the College. The teams will race each other on Wednesday at 2.15pm in the College pool. It will be a rather exciting event and a great opportunity for the boys to show off their engineering skills.

Thank you to Mr Maxfield and Mr Brennan for preparing the boys.

Prefects Corner

By Oliver Pontre and Reuben Panaia

The new term started on Tuesday! All the boys seemed excited and ready to go. In the morning we had assembly and Mr Tucker explained what we would be doing this term including all the fun activities!

A big warm welcome to Oliver Manning who joined the Junior School this term in 4 Blue! We look forward to seeing you embrace the TC spirit.

On Wednesday the Year 5 and 6 boys had their first summer sport training! All the boys were eager to start playing some of their favourite sports. We think the other PSA schools better watch out for the TC boys!

On Thursday we were up against Hale, and all the teams did well with some great games! In the Evening, the Year Six GATE boys had their Evening of Eminence event. The group was tasked with researching and dressing up as a famous person whilst delivering a speech in character. There were some amazing characters and props.

Friday, finally came around to top off an amazing first week back at school! Congratulations to those who received an award in the first week back.
