Faith Matters

At St Francis Xavier School

Dear St Francis Xavier Families,

At last there is 'light at the end of our tunnel.'

We have all experienced our own forms of struggle throughout the last 18 months and I am aware that this most recent lockdown has been particularly difficult for many families. However, once again our community has risen to the challenge, praying, showing concern, undertaking acts of kindness and conversing in ways that show genuine care and  support for one another.  One of our morning prayer quotes this week is 'If you want to see a miracle, be the miracle.' And, many of you have been miracle workers in your own homes, for us here at school and in the homes of others, perhaps sometimes without realising it.

Thank you.

There has been much anticipation and excitement this week as we begin to welcome our classes back to blocks of on-site learning.  The news that some classes would resume sooner than initially anticipated was greeted with a great deal of happiness from our staff.

We have so much to look forward to in the coming weeks and can't wait for November the 5th when we will have all our children back at SFX.

I haven't given up hope that the 2021 Sacraments will still happen.

Let's keep praying.

The Lord's blessings to you all.
