Strategic Planning

Kilbreda College has embarked on the process of developing a Strategic Plan for 2020-2024. The plan will outline our priorities in all spheres across the College and serve to guide our decisions.

  • Catholic Identity, Learning and Teaching
  • Learning and Teaching
  • Pastoral and Wellbeing
  • Leadership
  • Stewardship of Resources

The Strategic Planning Committee will lead this important work and will meet regularly over the next few months and aim to have a draft prepared by end of Term 2/ early Term 3, with the final version published in Term 4, 2019.

Earlier this term, the staff met and had the opportunity to hear from a range of speakers on the spheres contained within the plan and asked to respond to key questions about the direction of the College. We will also be seeking regular input and feedback from the Student Representative Council. I will provide regular updates to the Kilbreda College Community through the newsletter and you are most welcome to provide feedback to me.

Learning Mentors

At the College, we have introduced a new program, ‘Learning Mentors’.

Our Learning Mentors are past pupils who have recently graduated and are now returning to the College to assist current students with homework and their general studies.

Whilst the Learning Mentors will not provide individual tutoring, they will be of great assistance when offering general advice for all students, including VCE/ VCAL.

The Learning Mentors will be assisting students in the College Library from 3.30pm-5.00pm most afternoons from Monday to Thursday.

One of the more recent Learning Mentors who returned to the College to assist the students was former College Co-Captain and 2018 DUX Proxime, Eliza Dalton.
