Leonis

Ash Fraraccio  - Leonis House Leader

What a hard two years it's been…. Honestly, I don't know where to start over the past six years that I have been at SJRC, I have made so many great connections with the school and especially teachers. It was a great honour to be 2021 Leonis House Captain even though we didn't get to do as much as we would have liked, it has taught me that life is not always going to go the way you plan it to be, there will always be challenges that are going to come along but you come to a point where you learn to deal with it and overcome it.

I would like to give a big shout-out to my homeroom LE4 and especially to Mr Topham and Mr Colvin Snr; thank you for lighting up the Homeroom every day.  Thank you, Mr Topham, for always having a good spirit every morning during remote learning, when most of us are still in bed, you lit up the mornings with your unique videos.  That was the one thing that I looked forward to every morning.  To Senior Colvin thank you for allowing me to rant about everything that I could think of, thank you for calling and waking me up every Wednesday morning about six times - you're quite a persistent man.

Obviously a big thank you to Ms Fraraccio the best house leader that I could ever ask for. Thank you for being by my side through everything for the past four years and always telling me to never give up.

For my Leonis classmates I am leaving behind, let me leave you with this advice: (hopefully) this stays with everyone - enjoy every moment that you have, teachers I am sorry but you might not like this but go out and have fun!  To the 12s of 2022 enjoy every moment you have, obviously concentrate on Year 12 but find a balance between fun and school.  Time goes so fast in high school, even though I'm so keen to leave at the same time I'm so sad to leave this unique environment that I will never get to experience ever again.

I wish everyone great success and joy and I know that everyone in this house is so special that they will be able to do whatever they want.

Peace out - your 2021 Leonis House Captain

I asked the Leonis Year 12’s to share how they are feeling about completing their journey at SJRC – the following visual captures their responses.
