5th on International Stage
2019 Shell Eco Marathon
Our team of nine students arrived last week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and is the only Australian team to compete at the 2019 Shell Eco-Marathon event, in fact the Girton team remains the only Australian Secondary School to ever compete at this prestigious international event.
After months of preparation, under the expert guidance and support of Mr Robin Kirby and Mr Rod Smith, and a team of enthusiastic parents, the team pitted their electric vehicle, Incharge, against a field of universities in the Prototype category.
Girton families can follow the team's exploits on Astra, which, when this edition of eLink went to press, reveals the fact that team InCharge, placed 5th in a field of 22 competitors (21 being from Asia Pacific universities).
