IEC News
What a term its been! We’ve made it through to the end of the term, despite the current situation.
Term 1 2020 started off with a bumper number of enrolments, taking our numbers to well over 200! Welcome to all our new families who have joined us here at Evans.
A quick snapshot of our term: Our academic programs at Evans IEC have kept students across KLAs engaged in quality teaching and learning, as students prepare for mainstream schooling.
The current unusual and unfortunate circumstances have seen schools globally move to remote learning, and Evans IEC is no exception. Well done to all our students who have adjusted and adapted to this new mode of learning in a very short space of time!
We are very fortunate in that soon all our classrooms will be equipped with sets of Chrome books, to help our students work confidently in the digital world.
IEC school leaders
Every term a school leadership team is democratically elected, under the supervision of Ms Taufique and Ms o’Toole. Student leaders conduct stage and IEC assemblies, assist during parent-teacher meetings, and at other school events. Well done to this term’s student leaders who have shown great leadership and have grown in confidence.
Sport
Every Wednesday our students eagerly participate in a variety of sport including basketball, table tennis, soccer, AFL, cricket and badminton. Their enthusiasm on the field is great to watch!
Let’s all find the time to relax over the holidays, and of course, follow social distancing rules!
