Polding Athletics

On Friday 18 October, eight St Xavier's students competed at the Polding Athletics Carnival, representing the Armidale Diocese in Sydney.

The Junior Girls Relay Team (Audrey Hannaford, Josie Naismith, Charlee Adamson, Imogen Torrens) ran a PB 1.03.58 in their heat and qualified in 8th place in the final. They ran another PB in the final and came 5th.

Charlee Adamson also competed in the high jump.

Luke Jeffrey had a great day, placing 10th in both the shot put and the discus.

Phoebe Paul threw a personal best of 7.23m in her Shot Put for 6th place.

Gus Simpson came 7th in his heat and 7th in the final, with a new PB.

Cleal Bender had a sensational day coming  2nd in high jump, 3rd in long jump and 4th in the 100m final. Cleal will now go on to represent Polding at the NSW PSSA Athletics Championships in November, competing in high jump and long jump.

We are very proud of all of the athletes and their achievements.
