From the Principal...

Dear Parents and Friends of

St Therese's Primary School,

Well done to our Senior students who were finally able to attend camp. For some, this was their very first camping experience. I am very proud of the way the students demonstrated resilience and courage. I have it on good authority that the camp was successful and despite the wet weather the students enjoyed canoeing, archery and the flying fox. I would like to sincerely thank the staff who attended the camp and kept everyone safe.

Please check out the Deputy Principal news to see photos of the camp.

This time last year, we were entering the first of the COVID lockdowns. I am so grateful that this year is much more settled and it is wonderful to see that the Victorian Government's restrictions are slowly and steadily relaxing. As a result, we are able to return to the pre COVID drop off and pick up procedures.

Changes to Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures.

From the beginning of Term 2,

Drop Off Procedures

  • Gates will continue to open at 8:30am.
  • Families may walk their children into school from any of the pedestrian gates. There is no need to use gates depending on surname.
  • Endeavour Drive (on the school side of the road) will continue to be used as a 'Drop and Go' only. Please adhere to parking signage and do not park your car here if planning to walk into the school.

Pick Up Procedures

  • Gates will open by 3:20pm.
  • Families may enter the school from any of the pedestrian gates. There is no need to use gates depending on surname.
  • Endeavour Drive (on the school side of the road) will continue to be used as a 'Drop and Go' area. Please adhere to parking signage and do not park your car here if planning to walk into the school.
  • Students who are not collected from their classrooms will wait with their teachers at front of the school for dismissal.

We will continue to have the three pedestrian gates supervised by a staff members to assist students safely enter and exit the school.

I hope that by returning to these procedures that we will lessen the traffic on Mitchell Court and avoid the 'traffic jams' that have resulted due to cars being parked and left on this street at pick up and drop off times.

When entering the school grounds, please use the QR Code for contact tracing purposes. These are located at the gates and on all doors of classrooms.  Those who are planning to stay for longer than 15 minutes are required to sign in at the office and complete the Entry Declaration Form.

Please understand that if the COVID situation changes, the School will be required to return to the staggered drop off and pick up arrangements.

Foundation 2022 Enrolment

If you have a child who is starting school next year, please complete an enrolment form and send into the office as soon as possible.

If you require an enrolment form please contact the office on enrolment@sttcbourne.catholic.edu.au

Open Day today

Today, we had the second of our Open Days. Our Year 6 Communication Leaders did a terrific job of showing new families around our school in a COVID safe way.

The feedback from the families was that the students were well spoken and had an obvious love for their school!

Building Project Update

Exciting News! The Building Project will begin in early May. We are currently preparing for Stage 1 of the works which include refurbishment of the admin areas.  Later in the year we will need to move the Foundation and Senior students to another space in the school while Stage 2 is completed. More news on this later!

It is hard to believe that we are in the last week of Term 1. It has been a busy term and I know that staff and students alike are looking forward to some time relax and recharge.

On the first day of Term 2 we will celebrate the resurrection of Christ through our Alleluia Day.  I hope that you all have a Blessed Easter and a happy and safe holiday break.

God Bless, Michelle Bruitzman
