Finally...whole school assembly!

It was an absolute delight to welcome the Junior School to our Whole School assembly on Friday. Such a  long time since we have been able to be together.

Twilight Sports Term 2

Mrs Butterworth and Mrs Embery have been busy with the Year 6 Sport Leaders organising our Sports Day for Term 2 on Thursday 29th April. Due to daylight savings finishing and the beginning of our other Parent Programs ie Parent Phonogram Course, the sports will be held during the day.

9.15 - 10.00 Foundation & Thursday Kinder groups Gawarn and Marram (with an alternative run for Wimbi (3yo) and Budja our Friday group on the following Friday)

10.00 - 11.00 Year 1/2

12.00 - 1.30 Year 3/4 and 5/6

Parents are welcome to come and cheer their children on - please check in via the QR codes displayed at entrances and exits. 

Parent Get Togethers Term 2

At our first P&F Meeting on Wednesday we will discuss our Term 2 parent morning and afternoon teas (See Dates page) which align with our Junior and Senior assemblies, ideas for supporting parent connections after 2020 and planning for the year ahead.

I thank Flip, our P&F organiser for getting Wednesday ready and for being available for our morning and afternoon teas.

Portfolios

Student Portfolios  have been made available  since the Three Way Conferences n Seesaw. Recently students have completed a Term reflection and many have set themselves new goals with additional work that has been assessed by teachers. I encourage parents to visit Seesaw and give feedback on items as students value parent comments on their portfolio.

Resource Smart Schools Award

I would like to acknowledge the work of our Sustainability Team lead by Mr Nick Dix and Bu Marissa Mundy on successfully being certified as a Resource Smart School. There are more modules to complete, but we are well on our way with this first core module having been completed. The work centres around how we can introduce more sustainable practices to our school.

ICAS Assessments 

We are delighted to inform you that Mount Pleasant Road Primary School will be participating in the world-renowned ICAS Assessments later this year. A detailed summary of how to register, pay and which year levels can participate in the ICAS Assessments will be sent home via Sentral this week. 

Early Finish 

A reminder that school finishes at 2.30pm on Thursday. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and restful holiday. It's been a big term and we are looking forward to an amazing Term 2.
