Junior Playground Upgrade

We are so excited that the Junior School Playground is able to be upgraded this year. The work will commence on Friday 30 April and be completed within 2 weeks (possibly a little longer depending on the weather). 

Temporary Fencing will be placed around the playground area and sandpit to keep the worksite secure and safe for our students.  

The playground company will be accessing the school via Whitehorse Rd, so please be mindful of trucks etc in the mornings when dropping off your children. The gate on Whitehorse Rd near the Barn will not be accessible to students and parents during this time for drop off or pick up. Please enter the school via the TheirCare gate, or the Surrey Rd main School entrance. 

The upgrade of the Junior playground has been made possible through Parent contributions to the Building Fund (Tax deductible donation) and also via Parents committee fundraising. The Easter Raffle at the end of last term raised an amazing $1667! Thank you again to everyone that participated and another congratulations to all of our winners- we hope you enjoyed the extra chocolates over Easter. 

The cost of the Junior playground is $53990 ex GST, and so far we have raised $21929! All PFA fundraising from 2021 will also be added to the playground fund. Our JSC team are also working on ways to fund raise and we look forward to their events and ideas. 

Towards the end of each financial year, families often ask if they are able to donate to the School Library Fund or Building Fund, as they are tax-deductible donations. Funds donated to the Library Fund are used each year to purchase new books and replacement books, as well as furniture if required to upgrade the library facilities. Funds donated to the Building Fund in 2021 will be used for the Junior School Playground. 

On Monday 3rd May, until Friday 14th May, a course confirmation will be available on compass for donations to the Building and Library Fund. For those families that are in a position to donate to our tax-deductible funds, please do so via this course confirmation. You will be able to change the donation amounts and pay via compass. We understand many of you have already donated via your parent contributions course confirmations- thank you so much, you generous donations are much appreciated. This new course confirmation is for any additional donations our families may be in a position to make. 

The course confirmation will only be available during those dates, however you are welcome to also call the School Office on 9878 1483 anytime until Friday 26 June and make a payment over the phone.
