Year 10 Fed Uni campus visit
Year 10 students enthusiastically headed off to Federation University on Monday 29th March ready to explore the campus and find out about future study options. After a warm welcome students split into groups to tour the accommodation wings and the new Allied Health precinct. Returning to the lecture theatre, students were taken through a fun filled and entertaining study skills session with Dr Monique Osborne. Who thought that memorising 20 key words in under 5 minutes was possible, or that imagining parts a cell diagram in a very different way, then singing them aloud would forever be in your memory.
With a $10 lunch voucher in hand, students then headed to the student cafeteria for lunch. The final session for the day covered the Exercise and Sport Science programs available at the campus. Dr. Matthew O’Grady took the students through a series of experiments designed to test strength, ability and weight lifting capacity - well done to our budding Olympic cyclists! To end the day students participated in a Q and A session with a university student ambassador.
Our thanks to the student recruitment team at Federation University (Gippsland) for planning and delivering our students with a great experience and introduction to university.
