Mothers' Day Breakfast & Stall

Mothers' Day is back!

 

On Friday, 7th May we will celebrate all the mothers, grandmothers and other special ladies in our lives with the return of our annual Mothers' Day events.

 

From 8:00 am until 8:45 am breakfast will be served. There will be a selection of pastries, danishes and fruit from which to choose and of course, we will have the coffee van on-site.

 

Around 9:15am our Mothers' Day Stall returns. Students will have the opportunity to 'go shopping' and purchase from a range of gifts to spoil their mums come Sunday. Gifts will range between $2.00 - $5.00 so there will be something for everyone.

 

If anyone is interested in assisting on the Mothers' Day Stall (you must hold a valid Working with Children Check) and you are available between 9:00-11:00 am on the day, please submit your details via the following form by next Monday 3rd May.

School Athletics Carnival 

On Monday we were blessed with perfect weather for the School Athletics Carnival. 

 

Our children had an absolute ball participating in the array of events on offer. Thank you to all our wonderful parent helpers, teachers and Learning Support Officers who assisted on the day and contributed to the success of the event. 

 

Events like this just don't happen, so a huge thank you to Mrs Brittney Wohling who planned and orchestrated such a wonderful experience for all.

 

Congratulations to all our children for the way they conducted themselves and joined in on all the events. A special congratulations to Chisholm,  who were crowned 2021 champions!

 

Lunch Orders

Lunch orders are back!

 

Our lunch order service through Roberts Street Milkbar has returned. 

The service will be available every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 

 

Orders are made the old-fashioned way. Simply take a brown paper bag, label it with your child's name and grade, select your items, add up the total, and most importantly... seal the money in the bag. When your child arrives at school he/she will put the lunch order in the lunch order basket for collection and return. It's that simple!

 

I have included the price list for your reference. You can also find it on our website.

Winter Uniform

It seems a bit odd that we are experiencing such beautiful weather at the moment yet it won't last too much longer.  A reminder then that all children need to be wearing winter uniforms by next week.

 

Uniform items can be ordered through the school office. You can locate the Order Form on our website via the following link: https://www.cckingsville.catholic.edu.au/enrolment-information/uniform/

 

Simply complete the form and email it to info@cckingsville.catholic.edu.au

 

You will then be contacted to arrange a payment and pick-up time. 

 

Alternatively, you can drop off your order form in person at the school office.

 

Please note that uniform requests may not be able to be purchased during busy times or on the same day.

SunSmart - School Hats

In line with our school SunSmart policy, based on the recommendations of SunSmart, children do not need to wear hats during morning recess, lunch and outdoor activities from the end of April until mid August. 

 

So please wash your hats and pack them away in a safe place ready for mid-August when we will return to our No Hat No Play policy.

State Championships

Congratulations to Alison Feely who competed in the State Swimming Championships on Monday. Alison swam in the 10-year-old Girls 50m Butterfly finishing 5th in a time of 42.82 seconds... a personal best (PB). We all proud of her achievements!

School Closure Days

Book Club

It's Book Club time again. Issue 3 is out now. Your children have received their catalogue. 

Orders can be made through the Scholastic Book Club Loop. All orders must be in by 12th May at 5pm. I will lock the Book Club at that time. Any orders after this will attract a home delivery fee. 

 

Books will then be delivered to the school and distributed to the kids. 

If you ordered last term and did not receive your books, can you please contact me by email at kyliewa1@hotmail.com. I will follow this up. If you are having difficulty ordering or are new to book club please feel free to contact me by email also.
