National Walk Safely to School Day

Friday May 14th

THANK YOU to everyone

The weather helped us, it was a beautiful Friday morning when we had our 'Walk to School Day' last week. So many students, parents and teachers made an effort to walk just a little further and walk to school from home or part-way.

Thank you, to the SRC students who came in early and helped out with planning and organising the day. A big thank you also to the parents who helped us cut up fruit and distribute it to our students, as well as cleaning up afterward. We could not have done this without you. Another big thank you to the staff who came in early to help out.

A big special thank you to Alissa and Jasmine from WOOLWORTHS in the new M-city building on the corner of  Princess Highway and Blackburn Rd for helping us supply fruit for 400+ students without a problem. Your community focus, generosity and assistance in this event are very much appreciated.

Also, thank you to COLES for supplying a $50 gift card to get some more fruit for our students.

'Walk to School Day' is just one day, we can all continue to stay healthy and walk or ride to school a couple of times a week.

Please note: We always strongly encourage you to walk with your child to school

Remember, Active Kids are Healthy Kids so thank you again for joining us in Walk Safely to School Day journey last Friday!
