Alvie Primary School Value Designs
Over the past 12 months as part of our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework our students have selected a range of native animals that link to our school values of Grit, Respect and Responsibility. As part of this process, as a whole school our students then voted on their preferred animal to represent each value. The chosen native animals are all birds and are all present within the school grounds at certain times of the year.
Gary Galah: Grit
Rosie Rosella: Respect
Ruby Robin: Responsibility
We are very lucky to have now engaged a local familiar artist that will be working in collaboration with small groups of students in the design process to produce images of each of these value related birds. The workshop will take place in early Term 3 and will incorporate 9 student representatives from the school to work with the artist in 3 small groups, each small group focusing on an individual bird.
All students from the school are open to being part of this collaboration. In doing so, students are required to complete an entry form for the value bird they wish to be part of creating. Over the coming weeks, our students will be completing their entries both at school and at home.
