Staff Professional Development Day
Last Tuesday our staff worked with psychologist Emma-Rose Parsons. In what was a powerful and most enlightening session, we were given the opportunity to develop our knowledge and understanding of the diversity within our student population. The day also allowed us to develop our professional skills, enabling us to keep working towards giving every student at Sacred Heart the opportunity to be the best version of themselves. Of most importance for each of our students, is a confidence in knowing they are an integral part of our community.
District Cross Country
Congratulations to our Year Five and Six students who represented our school at the district cross country event at Parade College Bundoora on Wednesday. In what is arguably the most physically demanding of our school sports, each student showed great courage to complete the 2km/3km course against the students from the eight schools in our district.
Mother's Day Stall
A big thank you to Jodi and all the parents who made last Friday's Mother's Day Stall such a great success. I hope all the mums had great joy opening your specially chosen gifts on Sunday morning.

Yesterday was a very special day for our community as we celebrated the special people in our lives - our families. It was fantastic to see so many parents, grandparents, uncles and aunties taking part in the days activities. Thank you to Kate who had the vision for yesterday and the leadership to bring the staff on the journey so such a great day could be achieved.
Good Samaritan Award Winners
Congratulations to our Good Samaritan Award winners announced at yesterday's assembly:
Aiden, Alena, Ava, Glendon and Alex (nominated twice)
for showing compassion, care and selflessness towards their peers. We done to each of you.
Feast of the Sacred Heart
Our school and parish feast day will be celebrated on Sunday 18th June. We will be getting together with our parish family to acknowledge this special day. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
Change of Next Assembly Date
Please be aware that our next whole school assembly has had to be changed to Thursday 8th June because of an unavoidable clash of dates.
