Light Up Vanuatu

The Brentwood Green Team has joined hands with SchoolAid to address energy poverty. The team is raising funds to purchase, assemble and donate 100 solar lights to support the 'Light Up Vanuatu' campaign. Your donations can light up the world. House Litter Challenge

Once again, the Green Team has run another sustainability challenge for students to fight for house points – the House Litter Challenge! For the first time, this challenge was completed on the 9th of May during House Day, which brought the school community together to pick up litter for house points. In addition to the house points, students had the opportunity to win a free drink for every 20 litter items handed in. Despite the unideal weather conditions, a total of 515 litter items were handed in, with Banksia winning the challenge!

Victorian School Garden Awards

The Green Team won 300 sq. m of Kikuyu turf sponsored by Advance Turf Instant Lawns (www.instantlawns.com.au) at the Victorian School Garden Awards. The turf was laid behind the SLC during the recent term holidays by Adam and Marc from our maintenance team, the area looks so much more inviting now.
