Walk Safely to School Day

Walk Safely to School Day tomorrow Friday, 19 May
This annual campaign encourages all primary school children, their parents and carers to walk safely and regularly to school.
Until they’re ten, children must always hold an adult’s hand when crossing the road.
On Friday, 19 May, we’re encouraging families who can do so, to participate by:
*walking with your child to school
*parking the car further away and walking just part of the way to school.
Please remember when crossing the road to hold the hand of any child ten years old and younger and supervise those older than this.
At school, teachers will give out tattoos at the front gate for children to wear and briefly discuss safety when walking to and from school or at other times.
