NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION

Student Wellbeing Team (Lauren Buswell, Troy Jacques, Marni Trevena)

On Friday 18 March Aberfoyle Park High School acknowledged the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence. On this day staff and students wore different coloured, and odd, socks as a visual stand against bullying. It was so fantastic to see so many staff and students wearing their colourful or odd socks.

For the three days of that week, the school also participated in Random Acts of Kindness. Over the three days, 153 acts of kindness were registered for various reasons. This included being a supportive friend, helping other students in breakfast club, making our school community a better place and showing kindness both in the yard and in the classroom.

Overall, the cohort that registered the most acts of kindness was the year 7 students, representing a whopping 42% of the kindness tally.
