International Ambassadors Group

International Ambassadors Group – Term 1

Every few weeks, the International Ambassadors Group meet to welcome international students, make new friends and discuss international matters. Last term we welcomed Kosei from Japan and Eliza from Germany. We are also expecting Risa and Futa, also from Japan, any day now. 

Each time we meet, there is a different theme and students are asked to share how other countries celebrate similar events. For example, we learned that in South Korea for Valentines’ Day, single people wear black and go out for black noodles in hope of meeting a partner who is doing the same! Other themes in term 1 were: Australia Day, Adelaide Cup Day and Easter. This term we will be discussing Anzac Day, the Queen’s Birthday and Winter Fun.
