Victorian Volleyball Schools Cup

Volleyball Development Program going strong

The NHS Volleyball squad had fantastic time at the Victorian Volleyball Schools Cup.  NHS entered seven teams and took a total of 60 students to participate in the tournament. Each team improved out of sight over the course of the week! It was lovely watching students from all different year levels support one another and cheer each other on during each game.

A HUGE congratulations to the Year 7 Girls team who won a bronze medal and were the only NHS team to make finals. Alicia Chant, their coach, has been focusing on their serves at training and WOW, it’s paying off! Thank you Alicia, for being such a great example to our junior students and for being such a dedicated coach.

Thank you to the student coaches Aila Dekker, Amie Stapleton, Jack Donegan, Aaron Fuaux, Matthew Longden, Minke Cooke, Fred Culham and Connor Murray for attending the tournament and coaching the players. The students absolutely love being coached by our superstar, senior students.

The tournament would have not been able to go ahead without the support and assistance of Craig Price, Pauline Dridan, Mitchell Neto, Louise Tait, Simon Hoo, Tess Mimmo and Quinn Lim. The students and I really appreciate you volunteering your time (and sleep – that 6:45am arrival time isn’t easy!) to support the NHS Volleyball Development Program.

GO NHS!
