CLAY TARGET

Melbourne Clay Target Club

The year has ended for the students who attend the Melbourne Clay Target Club on Wednesday afternoons.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ben De Pedro (Year 10) and his family for the generous donation of 250 rounds of ammunition for our students to use at their final practice.

On Saturday 10 December, the Melbourne Clay Target Club had their End of Year Xmas Shoot and luncheon.  A very high level of attendance was recorded for the day and several of our students took the opportunity to attend and compete for the many prizes on offer for the day. All shot very well, in particular Ben De Pedro in A grade and Nathan Rogers, Riley Hughes-Gage and Dylan Naylor in Juniors and C grade.

Dylan was in fine form and was placed 1st in the C grade single barrel 25 target event, 3rd in the 25-shot points event and 3rd in the 25-target double barrel event.

The picture of Dylan is of the swag of prizes that he won, along with a very impressive large ham for Xmas lunch and 2 smaller ones, I trust that the 4 bottles of wine went straight to his parents to celebrate with.

Nathan also took out a prize in juniors, with an impressive 19 out of 25 with a new firearm that he has just purchased and is just getting familiar with.  Unfortunately, I do not have a picture on Nathan to add to the article.
