Last days of Year 12

Celebrating the end of high school years

Last week our Year 12s embraced the tradition of enjoying some specially themed days to celebrate the end of their secondary schooling.  We saw some clever takes on the ‘dress like a teacher’ day and a great variety of pyjamas on show! There was amazement at how many people still fitted into their primary school uniforms, and even a prep t-shirt! The last day of classes saw the students indulge in some last class snacks, with many students begging teachers in the afternoon to not bring any more chocolate! It was great to see so many students getting involved in the uniform signing, creating a memento to look back on.

The celebration breakfast gave teachers and students a chance to reminisce over a perfectly cooked egg and bacon sandwich.  The variety of costumes was a sight to behold, we loved the effort that everyone went to.  The final assembly was a RAGING success, punctuated by two wonderful performances.  The audience participation in the group’s rendition of ‘here comes the sun’ was energetic, while the ‘treble makers’ acapella performance wowed the crowd. Next up comes exams, we wish our students the very best over this exam period, and we look forward to seeing you all together again at the Graduation.
