Finding inspiration on a galleries excursion

Our Year 10 Illustration Students recently visited Lamington Drive and Outre Gallery in Collingwood, two venues with a focus on contemporary illustration. At Lamington Drive gallery they were also shown the illustrators work studios. We also visited the State library of Victoria where we saw a wonderful exhibition on The History of Book illustration design. The students were engaged and inspired by the ideas, media and techniques. Hopefully, we will see them apply this inspiration towards their own work.
