VCE Vocational Major

Building employability skills and great team work

Well done to Year 11 and Year 12 VCE VM classes who have continued to make great use of the community garden and outdoor learning space this year. Both classes planned and managed a fundraising and awareness campaign through a lunch time BBQ and pizza, cooked in our very own gas pizza oven. Year 12s used homegrown produce to make items such as such as pesto, jam and dried herbs and ran the sausage sizzle at the Athletics carnival.

Students have developed their employability skills over the year and used these as examples in their resume and cover letters. Health and wellbeing and leadership skills have also been one of our many focuses of the year.

A range of assessments have included presentations, essay and report writing, feasibility study, and gallery presentations. Students have applied numeracy to their everyday life such as budgets, mapping and measurements.

What a great year 2023 has been for our new VCE VM program!
