Art Show

Celebrating a year of creativity

The Art Show at the end of November was a celebration of our students’ achievements alongside Art Department staff, students, parents, guardians, and friends. The beautiful weather arrived in time for the presentation of awards from year 7 to year 11 which was accompanied by music from the NHS Jazz Quartet. The Art building (C Block) displayed work from Visual Art, Visual Communication Design and Media classes. The audience was treated to an array of paintings, drawings, sculptures, videos, documentaries, podcast, zines, technical product and architecture drawings, and installations. 

Milla Freeman who graduated from NHS in 2021 spoke to the audience about her experience, her acceptance into Top Arts and the Young Archies, and where her journey has led to now. The Art department farewelled Kirsty Owen for her retirement wishing her well on her next adventure. Overall, it was a fantastic evening full of celebration. Thank you to all those who attended and helped make our event special.
