Revolutionary portraits

Students in this year 10 subject researched figures throughout history who have had revolutionary intent. They made a decision on which one of them was most influential to them personally. They then discovered inspirational quotes and used them as part of their art. Students learnt about and practiced acrylic painting techniques and used a tonal range to create form. They selected a colour for their work and applied it appropriately. This was a wonderfully successful project and all students seemed to benefit not only from the content but also from the mindfulness of the painting technique.
