Top Designs success for our VCD, Product Design and Media students

Congratulations to Jemma Billing, Georgie Evans, Hannah Cook and Daniel Noonan, who have been selected to exhibit works in Top Designs 2024 at Melbourne Museum.

Jemma and Georgie will have their VCE Product Design & Technology works on display, Hannah their VCE Visual Communication Design work, and Daniel their VCE Media print product.

Top Designs is an annual exhibition coordinated by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) in partnership with Museums Victoria, showcasing outstanding design works made by VCE and VCE VET students from schools across the state.

This year, only 92 works were selected for the exhibition from over 1,000 applications. Selected works exemplify the innovation, skill and creativity that can be achieved within the Victorian Curriculum.

Top Designs will run from Saturday 23 March until Sunday 14 July at the Melbourne Museum, 11 Nicholson St, Carlton.

We’ll be back with more pictures to further celebrate their achievements at the time of the event!

Top Acts for Drama students

We also had two Unit 4 Drama students from 2023 asked to audition for Top Acts. VCAA determine the best solo performances in the year and they are asked to audition for the Top Acts showcase. These students were Ella Williams and Yasmin Elsakawy. Neither student made the final act, but being asked to audition is really an incredible achievement. Well done to Ella and Yasmin for all their hard work, and thank you to their teacher Ms Bastian for her support.
