Congratulations and well done to our Year 11 and 12’s that competed in the Yarra Division Volleyball.

Students competed in great spirits throughout the day with plenty of fun and teamwork on display.

Our team of Year 11 and 12 girls had the best result, making the semi finals!

Senior Girls Volleyball

Wednesday 21 February

Senior School Volleyball was a great way for students to enjoy their last year(s) of school. Three teams of girls, and three teams of boys attended this event consisting of both Year 11 and Year 12.

It was an early start to the day towards Dandenong Volleyball Stadium where five other schools gathered to partake in the volleyball tournament.

From 10:15 am, each girls team played four games against each other, and the other schools.

Girls Lilydale High Team 1, and 2 amazingly won two out of the four, meaning they battled it out for 5/6 place against one another towards the end of the day.

Team 3 won three out of the four, equally incredible, earning them a spot in the semi-finals against Monbulk College to see who would play off in the grand final.

Unfortunately, it was not a win for LHS, however everyone had a great time and graciously accepted the loss.

Every single person had an awesome day out, and on the way home, giddy from excitement, we stopped for Maccas as a treat.

Amazing work to all the girls who smashed it at volleyball; and big congratulations to Harmony Tunufai (Year 11) who deservingly won MVP of the day!
