SCHOOL PRODUCTION 2024

'Curtain Calls and Chronicles'

In the style of 'The Play that goes wrong', this year LHS is embracing the world of coarse acting.

Using scripts from the collected works of Michael Green, (plus a few other surprises), chaos is going to reign supreme as romances fall apart, murders are solved, Dukes are returned to the throne, families overcome differences and so much more!

It will be a high energy, fast paced show that will leave you wanting more!

Auditions

In Week 3, auditions for Lilydale High Schools Curtain Calls And Chronicles came into session on Monday and Thursday, and many thrilled students flooded into the PAC building. ‘I was excited but nervous to audition as I was the first one.’ remarked one student.

This was a rollercoaster of emotions for all of the Lilydale High School students before and after auditions. ‘ I am so excited to possibly be part of a wonderful show!’ remarked another student.

Teachers led the students into the Hall to take part in the auditions and everyone did very well.

Week 4 started and students were thrilled with anxiety, wondering if they got to be part of this amazing experience.

The day came on Monday 19th February, when students rushed to the PAC building once again to reveal their fate. Lots of students were thrilled to receive their glorious rolls in the performance Curtain Calls And Chronicles.

Everyone is extremely excited to rehearse and then, take the stage on the opening night of the performance and hope to bring to life to this exceptionally well written show!

'Curtain Calls and Chronicles' Cast Reveal!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to audition for the show. We were blown away with the talent and enthusiasm shown by everyone, from juggling to singing, from backflips to actors playing all the characters in a scene.

Everyone took on board the brief that this show is to be organised chaos and really ran with hit.  Never has so much laughter been had from an audition team before.

We very are excited, and relieved, to finally share the cast of our 2024 School Production 'Curtain Calls and Chronicles'. We put together our cast with diligence, and were simply blown away by what we saw in auditions.

We look forward to our incoming rehearsals, and moving this show along. If auditions are anything to go by, it's going to be a show you CANNOT miss!
