Haunted Hills MTB School Competition
Friday 27 October
Well done to the 36 students from Years 7 to 9 who competed in the Rocky Trail Flow Duro event at Haunted Hills.
The students had perfect weather to ride the 3 downhill tracks, trying to get their fastest time on each section.
LHS finished 2nd Overall in the Schools events.
Some of the better individual results were Xav Long, who finished 5th in the Year 9/10 section. Jye Aitken placed 7th in the Year 7/8 section, closely followed by Riley Reimers in 11th and Tate Van Heuvel in 12th.

Yarra Ranges MTB School Competition - Silvan
Friday 10 November
This Silvan event was the 3rd of 3 MTB racing events conducted by Rocky Trail Academy this year. The heat didn’t slow us down, with 18 riders competing from LHS.
Xavier Long (Year 9) was the most successful rider for the day, finishing in 6th place within the Intermediate Boys category, and 6th overall.
Riley Reimers (Year 8 ) also finished 6th in the Junior category.
Lilydale High School has had a large attendance at all three Rocky Trails Academy events in 2023. We look forward to watching our MTB riders improve their skills over the summer holidays, to return eager and ready for the 2024 events.

Rocky Trail Academy Format
3 Timed Enduro Stages, 5 Runs, Fastest On Each Counts!
- Competition will consist of 3 timed sections
- Tracks have been designed to test a variety of skills, including endurance, speed and technical ability
- Riders may ride each timed section up to 5 times on each track with their fastest time counting
- Combined best times will be combined for the overall result for each rider
- Riders earn points for school on each track
- Bonus points awarded for 1st to 5th on each track
- Overall Champion School awarded
