Scrolling Smartly

Navigating the online world with your teenager

We are thrilled to launch a brand new series in our newsletter, titled "Scrolling Smartly." In this series, we aim to empower parents with the knowledge and tools to help your teenagers navigate the ever-evolving online space. As technology continues to advance rapidly, it is essential for all of us to stay informed about the latest trends, challenges, and risks.

At Northcote, we believe in instilling values of humanity, fairness, and responsibility in every aspect of our students' lives. This includes their use of technology, both inside and outside of school. Recognizing the potential pitfalls associated with social media and mobile phones, we are committed to guiding our students to employ technology in a smart, safe, and responsible manner.

With the launch of "Scrolling Smartly," we aim to extend our commitment to cybersafety beyond the school premises and into the homes of our students. Each edition of this series will delve into various topics, providing valuable insights, practical tips, and expert advice on helping your teenager navigate the online world.
