Captains Conference

Planning events for our student community

Student Captains came together last week for a huge day of discussion and planning. Key areas of discussion were Keep Calm Day; A day for Senior School students to take a break and enjoy some social fun during Connect; Reconciliation Week planning;  and the production of a video to support students completing the attitude to school survey, which was rolled out today.

We also had two guest speakers join us on the day. Jane Harrison, our NHS Mental Health Practitioner, asked for feedback on what NHS could be doing to improve access and awareness of the supports available to students at school. We also heard from Victorian Student Representative Council (Vic SRC) representative William Naughton-Gravette, who spoke to the group about what Vic SRC is and how it can be used to amplify student voices and ideas within their school community.

It was a very productive day and it's great to see what we can achieve when we have our captains together, sharing ideas and working as a team.
